Dr. Brandon Allen is the medical director of the Emergency Department at the University of Florida. His areas of interest include teaching aspiring physicians through the hospital’s scribe program, improving quality in the Emergency department, promoting observation medicine, and advancing throughput innovations and cardiac biomarkers research.

He has over 100 publications on topics ranging from high sensitivity cardiac troponin-based approaches to identify myocardial infarction to age, sex, and gender differences in cardiac troponin levels. He serves on multiple committees, as an advisor and mentor for faculty, residents, and students, and as an editor for multiple peer-reviewed journals.
